We Welcome You

Frank and Julia My husband (Frank Giles) and I (Julia Weston), own and manage “Seaview Farm”, a 161-hectare property near St Marys in Tasmania.

Since 2002 we have been working making Seaview Farm completely chemical free in order to produce chemical free top quality, good tasting and nutritious beef, lamb and blueberries.

Frank operates the farm and I tend to the accommodation as well as maintaining and continually improving two acres of landscaped gardens.

We are passionately concerned about the wider environment, native animals and good health that comes from good food.

As we are at the cutting edge of farming methods with world standard practice in sustainable agriculture, it is always a pleasure to share this knowledge with interested guests.

To learn more about our farm operation and products please see our sister website Bandicootblu Farm Products.

LIVING ON THE EDGE
words JENNIFER STACKHOUSE photography AMANDA DUCKER
Despite the immense challenges that come with its location, Julia Weston has managed to create a truly gorgeous garden at Seaview Farm near St Marys.

I even doubted the promised sea view. There was no sign of water, no level land amid the dense stands of bushland, the soil didn’t look much chop and the ocean was nowhere to be seen. I persevered and it paid off when I finally reached a level spot … I persevered and it paid off when I finally reached a level spot with a long driveway, inviting stonewalls and the hint of a garden beyond. Julia Weston was there to welcome me. “Let’s start at the front,” she said, leading me along …

Please send us an email after you book and we can email you the details of what’s available.

We practice nutrition/sustainable farming (also known as biological) to bring you the best quality beef, lamb and blueberries. As the meat is grass fed – with a high mineral content – it is also high in Omega 3.
We have been practicing and studying this kind of farming for over fifteen years resulting in greatly improved soil health, lush paddocks, a certain level of drought resistance, and animals in glowing health without the need for chemical interventions.
